Who is behind the Academy?
A lifetime of listening, learning, and sharing.
Jyoshna has been an avid kiirtan aficionado for over 50 years. She has produced over 15 kiirtan and bhajan albums over that period, and has a PhD in Ethnomusicology, specialising in the music and kiirtan of Rarh, a rural area of Bihar state in India.
Her work brings scholarship, musicianship, and devotion into the same room — helping people connect with the ancient tradition of kiirtan and find their own expression within it.
